Build a Meaningful Career at CSMA and Help Patients Sleep Better, Feel Better, and Live Better

At Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates (CSMA), our work goes far beyond helping patients get a better night’s sleep. Sleep affects nearly every aspect of health, from mood, memory, and concentration to cardiovascular health, neurological function, and overall quality of life.

When you join CSMA, you become part of a specialized healthcare team committed to thoughtful evaluation, advanced diagnostic testing, personalized treatment, and compassionate patient care.

Our Story

Comprehensive Sleep Medicine Associates was founded in 2006 by Jerald H. Simmons, MD, a triple-board-certified physician and nationally recognized leader in sleep medicine.

Dr. Simmons began his career in academic medicine, where he trained physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students while contributing to the advancement of sleep medicine and clinical neurophysiology. After relocating to the Houston area in 1999, he established a growing sleep disorders practice and continued his work in patient care, clinical research, and professional education.

CSMA was created to provide a more comprehensive approach to sleep and neurological care, one capable of addressing both common sleep concerns and complex conditions that may otherwise go undiagnosed.

Today, CSMA serves children and adults through locations in the Houston Medical Center, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, and Austin. Our team evaluates and treats a broad range of conditions, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, epilepsy, seizures, and sleep disturbances associated with concussions and other neurological concerns.

Throughout our growth, our mission has remained the same: to provide high-quality, comprehensive care while maintaining excellence, respect, and integrity in every patient and professional interaction.
